Having spent the past 19 years in the financial publishing industry, I’ve seen a lot of ideas come and go. Most were good ideas, some were bad… but all started out with good intentions.

Our aim with this publication is to share ideas with you, that in my view, you aren’t getting anywhere else. Too often, newsletter writers become captive to wrong-headed ideas just because they’ve invested too much time in them.

They refuse to adapt or learn. Instead, they insist that they’re ideas and beliefs will come true one day… some day… most likely long into the future when nobody cares anymore.

We don’t intend to make the same mistake here. Of course, we have ideas too. And we can’t know for certain if they’ll play out as we expect. But if we’ve learned one thing over the past 19 years it’s that it’s OK to be wrong… and your readers will forgive you for being wrong… as long as you don’t treat them as fools.

Anyway, each weekday, we’ll look at the economy and what the powerful institutions are doing to it. We’ll watch commodities prices to see if that sheds any light on what’s happening.

And we’ll keep close tabs on the meddling central banks and they’re seemingly never-ending campaign to drive the value of money into worthlessness.

Just note, this publication doesn’t provide financial advice or make investment recommendations. You can go elsewhere for that. Those services are a dime-a-dozen. Here, we’ll keep things simple and focus on the bigger picture.

We hope you’ll join us. Subscribe to get full access to the newsletter and website. Never miss an update.

Your editor

Kris Sayce began in the financial publishing industry in 2005. That’s when he became the first editor of the Australian version of the Daily Reckoning newsletter.

Following that he helped investors profit from the market rebound in 2008-09, focusing specifically on the opportunities in the natural gas market.

In 2013 Kris launched a premium technology newsletter where he wrote about AI and smart technology. He even recommended investors buy Bitcoin when it was around US$100 - although he didn’t take his own advice on that one.

The following year Kris told investors to ‘buy China's, believing the market’s bearish calls were overdone. He helped investors collect multiple triple-digit percentage gains.

For the past 10 years, Kris has been in senior roles as Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, helping other experts get their ideas across to a broad audience.

Now it’s time for Kris to show his ideas once again. Remember, that won’t include investment advice. These ideas will be more important than that. We’ll help you make sense of what’s going on in the world’s economy, and help you understand and identify what are the most important events to watch.
